Letting Scripture Lead Our Convictions
Bring your questions to Scripture. Give the issues careful attention. Take time to pray, get informed, and vote.
Questions of public life deserve thoughtful biblical study.
Public debates about human life, marriage, sex, and religious freedom also raise theological questions. This guide brings Scripture into view as you examine those questions for yourself.
“The church is not getting more political. Politics are becoming more spiritual.”

How to Vote Like Jesus, Decision magazine, October 1, 2026.
Protect human life and care for children.
Every person bears God’s image. That truth informs our concern for unborn children, safety in schools, and decisions affecting children’s bodies and development.
Scripture references NLT
Protect the right to proclaim the gospel and live faithfully.
Jesus calls His people to make disciples and obey His teaching. Our churches and ministries have a responsibility to remain faithful to that calling. We must protect the right to religious freedom with our vote.
Scripture references NLT
Protect our economy.
Scripture values honest work, financial integrity, fair treatment, and generosity. Economic well-being includes both responsible management and concern for those in need.
Scripture references NLT
Protect our borders
Government has a responsibility to restrain wrongdoing and protect the public. Scripture also requires fair and humane treatment of foreigners and vulnerable people. Open borders actually limit the government’s ability to do both. The best option for protecting the public and caring for foreigners is a controlled border that upholds immigration laws.
Scripture references NLT
Study carefully. Pray for wisdom. Make a plan to vote.
Distinguish Scripture’s clear commands from judgments about how best to apply them. Approach those judgments with conviction, humility, and love for your neighbor. Review your ballot before you arrive at the polls.
